Law Clerk The candidate will make court appearances, provide legal research and assist in the preparation of legal documents as directed by the Carver County Attorney and/or his designee. Make court and administrative hearing appearances, including arraignments, pre-trial, evidentiary hearings and court trials, while under the supervision of an attorney according to the Minnesota Rules of Court. Research legal issues, write memoranda and prepare legal documents (e.g., affidavits, briefs, pleadings, motions, etc.) for attorneys. Draft general correspondence, answer routine calls from many constituencies including court personnel, witnesses, victims, probation officers and social services staff. Should have Bachelor's Degree and completion of one year of law school from an ABA accredited law school. Must be eligible to be student certified under court rules. Closing Date: 04/26/18 04:30 PM
