ProfileAssociate - International Tax - Summer 2018 The candidate will work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that serves as an international tax advisor to clients in a broad range of industries. Will identify and analyze tax risks/opportunities, and provide clients with tax planning advice, associated with cross-border mergers and acquisitions, inbound and outbound operations, debt structures, and intellectual property planning. Investigate technical tax issues related to, among other things, US tax treaties, foreign tax credits, Subpart F, and the sourcing of income and expenses. Draft tax structuring decks, memoranda/opinions, and Excel models to communicate findings to clients. Liaise with a company's finance/accounting departments and other tax advisors to gather pertinent facts. Should have J.D. and/or LL.M. degree (with a concentration in tax) from an accredited college/university. Knowledge of a broad range of international and domestic tax law, with a passion for the taxation of multinational businesses is required. Note: The candidate should have a targeted graduation date from December 2017 to Summer 2018.
