ProfileConstruction Litigation Paralegal The candidate will organize contracts, plans, specifications, letters and other legal/construction documents. Will review, categorize and organize large numbers of documents for internal use and for outside production to opposing parties. Assist attorneys in carrying out preparations for client meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials. Manage own caseload and provide attorneys with all necessary assistance in order to provide economical and efficient services for clients. File documents in both state and federal courts and prepare e-filing when appropriate. Coordinate trial or hearing logistics, exhibits, technology, displays, etc. Coordinate electronic productions with clients, attorneys and third party vendors. Assist with trial preparation and trial presentation. Assist attorneys in preparing a wide variety of corporate organizational documents, creating and maintaining corporate minute books. Provide paralegal services to attorneys and acts as liaison between the attorney and the case files throughout all stages of litigation, pre-trial investigation and preparation. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a College Degree in Business Administration, paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Construction Litigation. Must have 5-7 years of relevant experience. Experience working with IPRO/Eclipse is recommended. Should preferably have prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills essential. Must be proficient computer and skills using a variety of software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various other systems.
