Counsel, Commercial - Privacy Programs The candidate will be responsible for: Assist in projects involving privacy compliance for the commercial legal team. Provide strategic business and legal advice (including from a Commercial Legal perspective) to help the Privacy Program develop, implement and maintain its third party oversight and management workstreams. Build relationships and collaborate with various teams (including legal, product, partnerships, and business development) to further cross-functional alignment/coordination and successful implementation of Privacy Program workstreams. Project manage and lead implementation of Privacy Program (and other privacy related) workstreams across the Commercial Legal team. Provide guidance to the Commercial Legal team around general privacy compliance (e.g., FTC, GDPR, and CCPA) and best practices. Work extended hours when necessary to complete projects in a timely fashion. Potential travel as and when required. Must have J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar. Should have 3+ years of legal experience, including within a law firm and/or in-house experience in a technology company. Must have experience with drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts (e.g., for platform deals, partnerships/business development deals, inbound/outbound deals, ad deals, and service provider deals). Knowledge of privacy laws (US and international) including GDPR and CCPA and the interaction between privacy laws and contracts required. Project management experience and experience leading complex, strategic, fast-paced projects from start to finish preferred.
