Assistant General Counsel, Market Access Duties: Responsible for drafting, negotiating and reviewing insurance payer contracts and other provider agreements. Collaborating with business areas to mitigate risk while helping to achieve revenue goals. Responsible for conducting legal research. Oversee and work collaboratively with outside counsel. Responsible for providing assistance on special projects as needed.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school. 3+ years’ experience practicing law. Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation. Preferred: 3+ years’ experience practicing law in private practice. 1+ years’ experience in a legal role in healthcare, provider, or payer contracting. Demonstrated willingness to work efficiently and effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information and unexpected circumstances. Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork. Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures. Ability to be proactive, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
