ProfileAttorney, Commercial Contracts The candidate will be responsible and accountable for drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, with a particular emphasis on revenue-generating contracts with our customers, under the guidance and direction of senior members of the Legal & Risk Management department. Will be drafting and negotiation of customer-facing commercial contracts, the Attorney, Commercial Contracts will also draft, negotiate and close a variety of vendor contracts and will provide legal support to the Company’s operations and marketing departments. Responsible for ensuring that all contracting processes are followed, including obtaining and documenting any approvals required in connection with each contract. Responsible for facilitating the resolution of business and legal issues and formulating recommendations using analysis, creativity and the development of new approaches to enable contract execution while safeguarding the Company and creating a positive customer experience all in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Participate in and contribute to the development and on-going review of relevant processes, guidelines and procedures relating to the Company’s commercial contracting activities. Establish productive relationships with internal and external clients and business partners and foster a client-focused approach with respect to the performance of all Legal and Risk Management responsibilities.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have JD, LL.B. degree or foreign equivalent. Should have 1-3 years of mid to large law firm experience working on complex commercial transactions and/or 2-3 years in-house experience negotiating commercial contracts for a global corporation (preference for healthcare or technology) contract management expertise, excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills, substantive experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts while maintaining strong, vibrant internal and external client relationships. Healthcare and/or technology licensing/information technology services experience is preferred. Experience with Master Service Agreements is desired.
