Part-time Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Assist attorneys with estate and elder law planning, probate and trust administration, and corporate and commercial transactions. Responsible for handling matters ranging from factual research, cite-checking, acquiring records and assembling documents, to document drafting and coordinating document production, as well as scheduling and direct client support. Substantive function in practice areas that do not require a law degree and often requires substantial client contact in the form of meetings, phone calls and e-mails.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have 5+ years of paralegal experience. Must be personable, able to take initiative, and have exceptional attention to detail. Must have a wide range of paralegal skills, including outstanding planning and organizational skills, such as the ability to collect information, organize documents, and acquire records; outstanding computer skills, such as the ability to use case management and document assembly software, and the ability to develop and implement organizational systems; outstanding client communication skills, including the ability to answer telephones, greet and meet clients, and be responsive to client needs; good people skills and timekeeping skills.
