ProfileSenior Attorney I Duties: To be part of the Association is to be part of Mission to promote the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health. Join the association team that is dedicated to the betterment of public health as a association in the Advocacy Group in the Association office. Identify and analyze proposed regulations on which the Association should formally comment. Write Association testimony for Congressional and Administration hearings. Prepare and present relevant briefing materials to the Association Council on Legislation at the Council’s 4 meetings each year.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: JD Degree and active membership in good standing in at least one state Bar required. 5+ years legal experience and at least three years health law experience are required. Previous legislative, federal agency, or association experience also is highly preferred. Strong working knowledge of the U.S. Congressional legislative and federal regulatory process required. Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills required. Strong verbal communication and presentation skills. Well-developed writing skills. Highly developed relationship and rapport building skills. Interpersonal skills to include persuasiveness.
