Law Internship Intern will assist with all aspects of representing low to moderate income individuals in cases involving family law and housing law. Responsibilities may include assisting with client intake, drafting pleadings and correspondence, appearing in court, filing court documents, and data entry. This is an ideal opportunity for a law student who is eligible for a license under the Supreme Court Rule 711 at the time of the application or a recent law school graduate licensed and in good standing to practice law in Illinois. The intern will work with and report to the Executive Director. Preference will be given to individuals who can commit to at least 15 hours weekly, have legal aid or family law experience, and/or are bilingual (Spanish/English). This is an unpaid internship.
