Senior Paralegal Duties: The candidate will support to the entire FRS racketeering prosecutors with asset forfeiture. Will responsible for producing legal memoranda, including gathering documents; organizing litigation files; drafting correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery responses and disclosure statements; conducting legal research; and assisting the attorneys in trial preparation and at trial.

Qualification and Experience

Qualification:th knowledge of techniques and principles used for writing briefs, reports, and other legal memoranda and reviewing, compiling, bates stamping and redacting voluminous documents; Knowledge of the Arizona Rules of Criminal and Civil Procedure; Knowledge of the principles of criminal and civil law; Knowledge of legal terminology, legal concepts and procedures of state and federal laws, of the functions and jurisdiction of local and state and federal courts; Knowledge of criminal trial preparation and procedures and interview techniques; Knowledge of producing documents, and in particular civil pleadings, in proper format; Knowledge and skill in the methods, techniques and principles of legal research (particularly the use of Westlaw) and writing and the interpretation of statutes, codes and other legal resources. Must have skill in writing legal memoranda and complex reports containing extensive data. Must be skilled in researching and extracting information from statutes, codes, legal documents and court decisions. Must have skills in administrative tasks, such as typing accuracy, speed, transfer of data from one document to the next; skill in Word, Excel, Access databases; skill in concise and effective oral and written communication; Skill in interpersonal relationships as applied to interaction with court personnel, agency personnel and government agencies; Skill in following/taking a variety of delegated directions/decisions under attorney supervision; Skill in researching and extracting information from statues, codes, legal documents and court decisions. Paralegal Certificate and/or degree in Paralegal Studies is ideal. Civil Litigation experience is preferred.
