Attorney The candidate will advise senior management and other origination and servicing personal regarding all aspects of origination, closing and servicing of multifamily and healthcare loans, and the acquisition of such loans from other lenders originated through various HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and USDA loan programs. Will advise origination and servicing personnel as to the compliance and application of mortgage lending and other related laws on both a federal and state level, along with related agency rules, regulations and guidelines with regard to the origination, closing and servicing of multifamily and health care loans. Advise our defaulted loan workout group and prepare contracts, documents and other instruments necessary to acquire and work out defaulted multifamily and healthcare loans. Draft/Review day-to-day corporate and servicing documents and other related corporate contracts, documents and communications with borrowers, agencies and other third parties involved in the multifamily and healthcare lending and servicing process. Oversee outside counsel representing Greystone in loan closings, and other related mortgage lending and servicing transactions. Perform negotiations with external clients/counsel. Law degree from an accredited law school is needed. Should have 3+ years of experience, some of which should be in commercial real estate transactions. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills along with solid law firm or other training and experience.
