Risk Manager The candidate use experience to advise on various types of risk to include business, financial, legal and security. Work with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals. Provide systems engineering support, including, but not limited to, requirements definition and tracking, change control and risk management. Coordinate and integrate overall project risk and opportunity assessment at least monthly. Provide assessments of the cost, schedule and risk of project changes and opportunities and driven by changes in scope, changes in funding levels or changes in risk posture. Identify and analyze various risk e.g., business, financial, legal and security. Develop risk management controls and contingency plans. Communicate recommendations to management. Conduct assessments to define and analyze possible risks. Evaluate the gravity of each risk by considering its consequences. Audit processes and procedures. Develop risk management controls and systems. Design processes to eliminate or mitigate potential risks. Create contingency plans to manage crises. Evaluate existing policies and procedures to find weaknesses. Prepare reports and present recommendations. Help implement solutions and plans. Evaluate employees’ risk awareness and train them when necessary.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business, Finance or a related field. Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification is a plus. Should have proven experience identifying potential threats and creating plans to prevent and mitigate problems to support our NASA customer. Proven experience as a Risk Manager is required. Knowledge of risk assessment and control is required. Must have experience with auditing and reporting procedures. Should have familiarity with industry compliance standards and regulations (e.g. Occupational Safety and Health Act). Must have strong computer and research skills; knowledge of analysis software is preferred (e.g. Statistical Analysis Software, or SAS).
