ProfileGCB AML Project Manager â€” Quality Program Manager The candidate primary responsibility of the person in this role will be to lead and oversee GCB KYC Quality Assurance Program and initiatives globally. This includes two different global programs: 1) GCB KYC Post Executaion Quality Review Program and 2) GCB Quality Control Program. The GCB KYC Post Execution Quality Review Program entails the execution of the Global AML KYC Profile Post-Execution Quality Review Standard with the following components: a) Defines the population of KYC Profiles subject to Quality Reviews, b) Outlines the methodology for performing Quality Reviews, c) Specifies global quality elements used to evaluate KYC Profile quality, d) Establishes a method for measuring deficiencies, e) Sets forth processes for performing an evaluation of the causes for deficiencies, developing remedial action plans and establishing a feedback loop, f) Formalizes a process for submitting Quality Review results to Business and AML stakeholders and to relevant Committees The GCB Quality Control Program will include the implementation of the Global Framework with the following components: a) Creation of Procedures, b) Training Materials, c) Checklist/Scorecard, d) Dispute Process, Feedback Loop e) Tools, and, f) MIS. Will cover all GCG Businesses at a global level (Retail, Small Business, Cards, and Mortgages), except for CCB. This person will ensure adherence to the KYC Policy requirements, implementation of changes, consolidating and presenting results as the representative of GCB to Global Compliance and Senior Management forums. This individual and team is also responsible for providing advisement and guidance to businesses on Quality and KYC related topics, developing and implementing corrective actions and Quality improvement initiatives, performing training and periodically assessing and improving the GCB Quality Frameworks globally and locally. This individual and his/her team will lead Peer Review and Testing teams in partnership with GCB businesses and AML/KYC to identify gaps and opportunities to strengthen KYC execution through agreed upon action plans. Additionally, this individual and his/her team will be responsible to conduct Pilot tests of new Policy/Procedural requirements and system enhancements in select businesses to assess impact and develop implementation plans for Global implementation. The person in this role must be able to think strategically and creatively to identify effective actions aimed at improving Quality. Will also be responsible to establish, lead and work with teams composed of Global AML KYC, Technology, Operations, Business and Sanctions teams to help review, define and execute implementation and action plans. Assist with the coordination of regional AML Business Representatives and their delegates to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely execution of the Quality Assurance Framework in more than 60 business units. Will be called upon to advise Consumer Business Lines on the Quality Program, identification of issues and actions to be taken to address these issues that will improve the quality of the KYC records and a consequence the efficiency in the operation. In addition, this person will be responsible for working and interacting with Global KYC Compliance and assessing how Policy and system changes issued by them affect the Business KYC and Quality Programs. Will also partnered with NAM, Malaysia, and Taiwan to ensure that the Quality Criteria defined to achieve sustainability for Article VI Consent Order re-planning is on the right path and eventually met. Responsible for: To maintain a Global KYC Assurance Framework to provide a mechanism for identifying and mitigating risks. Oversee the execution of the of the KYC Assurance Framework at a Global level. Lead the Management of the Post Execution Quality Review Standard. Drive the implement of the Quality Control Program. Establish a formal Feedback Channel with the Businesses and the AML KYC Assurance team to ensure that root cause analysis is performed proactively and communicated to relevant stakeholders through the established channel. In addition, review, consolidate, address, and track to resolution significant issues identified through root cause analysis to senior management. Develop a Governance and Escalation framework to inform senior management in a timely manner of emerging issues for promptly action and correction. Ensure that feedback / root causes from various channels is consolidated and shared within senior management and AML KYC to allow for enhancements to Policy/Standards and Learning & Development, as necessary. Manage a Global team to execute the Global KYC Assurance Framework, and invest in the development of all team members to ensure consistent execution. Coordinate with local Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams to ensure consistent execution across GCB. Serve as GCB Representative to Senior Governance meetings including the Global KYC Committee, the Global KYC Assurance Subcommittee, and participate in Business and Compliance committees or working groups, as appropriate. Reviewing business Quality and KYC procedures and training. Lead forums with all GCB businesses to review and assess results and key activities. Creating and performing training to Quality and in-Business Operations teams on Quality Framework and Policy Requirements that are impacting Quality. Conducting Peer Reviews of Quality and in-Business Operations teams to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Reviewing Local execution of Global Policy requirements and remediating any identified gaps. Collaborating closely with the Global KYC team to identify, correct, and track execution issues relate to policies and procedures. Tracking and reporting on Issues and CAP status related to Quality, Presenting results and updates on Global KYC, Business and Senior Management forums. Working with Local Teams to ensure that Local Procedures are also compliant with jurisdiction-specific.
Qualification and Experience
A Bachelorâ€™s (e.g. BA, BSc) degree required; Advanced Degree (e.g. J.D., MBA) preferred. Should have experience managing diverse teams, and comfort navigating complex, highly-matrixed organizations. Should have 10+ years of experience in AML compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services industry; experience with a regulatory body a plus. Should have experience in the design and implementation of AML programs, with specific experience in KYC and quality assurance. Must have excellent written, verbal and analytical skills; strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through crisp and clear messaging. Should have significant knowledge and expertise of AML regulations, risks and appropriate controls. A demonstrated ability to assess complex issues through root cause analysis and other analytical techniques, structure potential solutions, and drive to resolution such issues with senior stakeholders is needed. Should have experience with, and previous exposure to, internal control functions. Must have demonstrated ability to challenge business partners across GCB, escalate issues and press for change. An ability to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level using sound judgment and successful execution, understanding how to operate effectively across diverse businesses is required. Must have strong track record of effectively assessing and managing competing priorities.
