Duties

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and motion arguments.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and case evaluations.
  • Review medical and legal records to develop case strategies.
  • Meet with clients to provide legal counsel and case updates.
  • Draft detailed reports analyzing case progress and potential outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Travel to court appearances and depositions across various counties, requiring the use of a personal vehicle.

Requirements

  • 1–6 years of experience in litigation, preferably in medical malpractice, personal injury, or insurance defense.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases independently while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within New York State as needed.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active New York State Bar license in good standing.

Skills

  • Strong legal writing and oral advocacy.
