Manager, Trust Transition and Support The candidate is a key member of the trust organization and is responsible for taking ownership of assigned new trust opportunities to ensure outstanding client and partner experiences from initial inquiry through designation and appointment as successor or a current corporate trustee. This includes speaking with clients, attorneys, accountants, and beneficiaries; as well as partnering with internal partners to ensure key information and documentation are collected. Will be the first line of defense position and assure compliance with all trust company policies and procedures, risk management programs, as well as all applicable state and federal banking and trust regulations in the context of their responsibilities. Review trust agreements, court documents, and asset statements to assess acceptability, profitability, and potential for risk in serving as trustee. Support for a wide variety of trust services. Coordinate with attorneys (local and otherwise) to accomplish judicial and non-judicial processes as necessary to ensure that trusts stay in sync with their requirements and applicable trust law. Partner and collaborate with teammates, business partners, and clients to deliver an outstanding, white-glove service experience to the clients. Shepherd clients’ trusts through the stages of trust onboarding including trust review, feedback, drafting/amendment, and trustee designation and appointment. Proactively participate and provide input into continuous improvement to procedures and processes to align with a “Through Client’s Eyes” perspective consistent with the client-first culture. Actively participate in special projects and initiatives in the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and community. Assist with internal and external audits. Stay in sync with state and federal banking regulations and internal policies and procedures regarding asset eligibility, OFAC, AML, and Customer Identification Program.
Qualification and ExperienceThe candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience required; JD, relevant coursework, or CTFA is highly preferred. Should have 5+ years of experience in banking or financial industry, trust and estate administration or related trust, financial or legal/paralegal experience a plus. Should have 3+ years of client-facing experience. Should have well-developed interpersonal communication skills with the ability to distill sophisticated issues and information into simple, tangible, and impactful messages for specific audiences. Strong analytical skills and the ability to research problems, and resolve root causes and solutions are also required. Must have superior organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities without sacrificing quality or accuracy. Should be a collaborative standout colleague with a contagiously positive, outgoing, can-do demeanor. Flourishes with initiating, building, and encouraging strong authentic relationships inside and outside the group; highly reciprocal; navigates and activates alignment across organizational silos. Must be a critical thinker who can identify gaps and inefficiencies and create and communicate solutions to management and leadership. Must be comfortable in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment with the ability to adopt change and innovation.
