Litigation Assistant Duties: Receiving inbound calls and making outbound calls as well as working some aspect of the litigation process and collecting accounts including preparing and maintaining files once suit is filed and monitoring the service of process. Prepare litigation files. Answer incoming phone calls and make outbound phone calls to individuals. Preparation of memos to attorneys and address research is also required. Maintain assigned portfolio in a proper manner, keeping accounts as current as possible and self-motivated towards negotiating satisfactory settlements on behalf of client.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: College degree is required. Some litigation experience is preferred. Computer skills in order to scan and file documents. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word and search engines is required (LexisNexis, Pacer, TLO).
