A prominent law firm in Maryland is seeking a qualified Immigration Attorney. This role is well-suited for a motivated attorney with experience in immigration law or a strong interest in transitioning into the field. The position involves managing a high-volume caseload, working closely with clients, and leading a team of paralegals in a fast-paced environment.
Location
Duties
- Meet with potential clients and advise on immigration matters.
- Develop and coordinate case and legal strategy.
- Manage multiple cases, projects, and deadlines efficiently.
- Train and supervise a team of paralegals and support staff.
- Prepare and revise legal documents, including motions, briefs, and memoranda.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on legislative changes and case law.
- Represent clients in court hearings and trials, focusing on immigration cases such as Family Petitions, Asylum, U-Visas, Waivers, etc.
- Market the firm’s services and participate in cross-selling additional practice areas.
- Work one Saturday per month, with potential bonuses for new client sign-ups.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active Bar License in good standing from any US state or Puerto Rico.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Fluency in Spanish (required).
- At least one year of experience in immigration law (preferred).
Education
