Legal Secretary Duties: Under general supervision performs paraprofessional work of moderate difficulty in a variety of legal secretarial and office duties. Files documents with the appropriate court and maintains calendars. Performs considerable data entry, input and retrieval. Provides disclosure information to attorneys. Formats and types letters, memoranda, and various legal documents from copy, rough draft, and dictating machine. Prepares confidential and sensitive documents. Composes letters and routine court documents. Processes and logs incoming documents. Performs other job related functions or duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED and training in secretarial or legal secretarial work. 2 years experience as a legal secretary; must demonstrate a minimum typing score of 60 WPM / on a skills performance test. Work occasionally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate co-workers generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information that may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (citizens or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing normal assistance to provide information. CLOSING DATE: 06/19/18 05:00 PM
