A law firm in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney to enhance their litigation team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high academic achievement, substantial law firm or clerkship experience, and excellent problem-solving, writing, and communication skills. This role demands extensive experience in financial services litigation, including commercial real estate, distressed loans, and financial instruments such as debt and security instruments, as well as creditor and lender liability. Proven experience in taking and defending depositions and courtroom proceedings is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in financial services litigation cases, including disputes related to commercial real estate, distressed loans, debt and security instruments, and creditor and lender liability.
• Manage all aspects of litigation, including preparing for and conducting depositions, managing discovery processes, and preparing witnesses.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Appear in court to present evidence, argue motions, and handle trial proceedings.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and legal arguments.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes, such as mediation and arbitration.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Arizona Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant litigation experience or substantial clerkship experience, with a focus on financial services, commercial real estate, and distressed loans.
• Demonstrated experience in taking and defending depositions and managing courtroom activities.
• Strong academic credentials and proven problem-solving and communication skills.
