Training Specialist (Operations), GS 9 The candidate: Assists in writing/reviewing/coordinating of training support packages. Assists in designing and developing and implementing common military subject training support packages. Consults and assists with the training of subject matter experts and technical advisors in developing training material. Traveling is required.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have the following qualifications:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes: instructing in an adult education program in Cyberspace Operations; administering a training program for adult education; and assisting in the development training/course materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).


Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, education.


Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
