ProfileLitigation Paralegal The candidate will assist with trial and arbitration preparation. Assist with preparation of pleadings and discovery in federal and state court matters and arbitration proceedings, as well as federal and state administrative filings. Analyze, review, and organize documents and data from materials produced during discovery, and prepare/coordinate document production and responses to discovery requests. Prepare deposition and record subpoenas according to state and federal regulations; coordinate production of and summarize third-party records. Prepare deposition outlines and summaries. Prepare and revise correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents. Provide calendar maintenance for attorneys, as well as CLE, reports, and time records. Manage e-discovery, redaction, duplicating, and indexing documents. Manage filing and electronic transcription. Prepare chronologies of facts and production charts, Organize pleadings, exhibits, and appendices for filings, as well as documents for witness interviews and depositions. Communicate with clients, and act as liaison between internal departments and outside agencies. Book and organize travel arrangements including flights, hotels, and transportation. Maintain docketing for attorneys. Transcribe electronic dictation and schedule depositions.
Qualification and Experience
A Associate Degree required, 4-year college degree preferred 5 years’ minimum legal experience, preferably in employment law, preferred. Paralegal degree or related certificate; ABA Paralegal Certificate highly preferred. Electronic filing experience is required. 65+ wpm typing. Familiarity with state and federal rules and procedures desired. Must be experienced with trial preparation and briefs, and proficient with generating Tables of Authorities. Should have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent proofreading skills. Must have proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; knowledge of CaseMap, TrialMap, and Trial Director desired. Experience with class-actions, and wage and hour productions a plus.
