A law firm seeks an accomplished Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Attorney to join its Corporate Services Group in Saint Louis, MO. This role offers a dynamic environment where experienced legal professionals handle a variety of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, private equity-sponsored deals, and strategic investments while contributing to commercial contract negotiations and corporate governance matters.

Duties

  • Advise clients on a range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and private equity-sponsored deals.
  • Guide capital raises private placement transactions and other strategic investments.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex corporate agreements and commercial contracts.
  • Oversee matters of corporate governance, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple legal projects, from initial assessment through completion.
  • Deliver precise and timely legal work, maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through superior communication and service.
  • Contribute to the development of the firm’s business by generating and managing client relationships.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in M&A and transactional work, with expertise in drafting and reviewing intricate corporate documents.
  • Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a demonstrated commitment to ethical practice.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active law license in good standing in at least one jurisdiction where the firm operates.
  • Compliance with continuing legal education (CLE) and licensing renewal requirements.
