Legal Assistant/Office Manager The Candidate will be responsible for Client intake/follow-up. Client onboarding. Client communications. Time/billing. Email management, Electronic filing system, Office filing system, Draft letters, memos, agreements, legal pleadings, correspondence and have General administrative assistance, such as scanning/copying/processing incoming and outgoing mail.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required with Associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a Bachelor's degree preferred and have 1-5 years of experience as an administrative assistant (preferably in a law firm or in a corporate legal department), legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor. Ability to work accurately, with interruptions. Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well independently but more importantly as part of a team. Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment and discretion. Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. Highly proficient in MS Word (including formatting and other tools), Excel, cloud-based applications, e-filing (Dropbox and Google Drive), and email functions. Experience with case management/billing software and applications. Understanding of attorney/client language and vocabulary. Working knowledge of the Court system. Family Law/Estate Planning/Probate experience a plus. Marketing background a plus. Comfortable working with Apple computers.
