Legal Assistant The candidate will draft documents and letters as instructed by attorneys. Create and modify routine business and legal reports. Coordinate with consultants and internal and external counsel regarding ongoing legal projects, including gathering information and obtaining updates on assignments and litigation. Coordinate, gather, and track electronic documents and information responsive to litigation-related discovery. Manage, track, log, and file legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence. Draft form agreements and notices under supervision of attorneys. Process legal documents for authorization, signature, and payment. Implement and improve upon existing administrative processes for more efficient workflow. Perform administrative functions as needed, including assisting in answering phones, greeting visitors, coordinating appointments, processing invoices, and making copies.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a good work attitude, strong background, and take ownership of his/her work. Excellent reading and oral/written communication skills, including strong grammatical skills. Strong initiative and ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects. Ability to complete projects timely and accurately and work under tight deadlines. Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work well with others in fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.
