Assistant General Counsel, Procurement & Construction The candidate will provide professional legal advice, counsel, support and guidance on commercial transactions, with a primary focus on renewable energy procurement contracts. Provide legal support for supply agreements for the acquisition of: wind turbines, solar modules, main power transformers, padmount transformers, inverters, and other major pieces of renewable energy equipment. Provide legal support for renewable energy construction agreements, primarily balance of plant, balance of system and other types EPC contracts. Ensure project contracts are in line with the market expectations of a project finance lender. Manage the flow down of key provisions from project sale agreements (i.e. required warranty terms) into the appropriate procurement and construction agreements. Provide legal support for interconnection agreements and other contracts with transmission owners. Provide legal support for general commercial agreements required by the company. Should have JD - Juris Doctor degree. Should have 3-5 years of experience either within a law firm or as in house counsel. Able to work under minimal supervision. Experience with some of the following types of transactions, preferably in the energy industry: Construction and procurement contracts. Project finance agreements, M&A agreements.
