Analyst Legal Support The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating client claim files, litigation management reports, client correspondence, client loss runs, communication with clients, and communication with all other client service providers (TPAs, auditors). Other duties : adjusting and resolving some property and minor injury claims for certain clients.Tracks and reports on reserves to all interested parties including third-party administrators (TPAs), Administrators, and brokers. Prepare litigation management reports for all open claims; Gather, interprets, and prepares data to update loss runs; Create and maintain all litigation files and documentation. Prepare and distributes claim acknowledgement letters. Processes claims and performs routine property and minor injury claims adjusting functions (when assigned to specific clients where this is required). Reviews and maintains department correspondence for assigned clients; Maintain, updates, and distributes department calendar for assigned clients; Coordinate meetings with excess carriers, TPAs, and other interested parties to monitor existing claims as well as the development of potential claims which may ultimately impact pooled funds; attends client meetings, including board meetings and strategic planning meetings; Develops and conducts presentations to clients at meetings upon request; Participate as needed in the development and presentation of educational programs; When assigned, analyzes requests for and generates certificates for clients upon request; When assigned, supervises the work of the department Administrative Assistant; Performs other tasks upon request; Experience in litigation, insurance law, or liability practice preferred but not required. 2 years of experience doing analytic writing. Should have Basic understanding of arbitration/litigation processes. Must have High school diploma or equivalent with some college experience. College degree preferred. Must have Legal Assistant Certificate or Paralegal Certificate from ABA approved program or 3 years of experience in Joint Powers Authority pool administration services with increasing levels of responsibility or minimum of three years of experience as a legal secretary in a law firm environment. Experience in litigation, insurance law, or liability practice preferred. Two years of experience doing analytic writing. Should have Basic understanding of arbitration/litigation processes. Should have evidences proficiency in basic computer skills, including use of relevant programs. Should have work evidences excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading skills and grammatical skills. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of civil law and procedures including public entity law.
