ProfileRCIS Supervising Attorney The candidate will represent individuals pursuing benefits or seeking relief under the Immigration and Nationality Act. Conduct thorough intakes to ascertain immigration relief. Handle caseload providing direct representation to individuals eligible for immigration relief. Provide representation to individuals in immigration removal proceedings as well as before the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the San Antonio Immigration Court, or Texas state courts if related to a clientâ€™s immigration case. Conduct Know Your Rights presentations and other community outreach, as needed, in San Antonio, Bexar County and surrounding counties, which may occur outside of regular business hours. Supervise affirmative legal work at this location; Assume general administrative responsibilities, including detailed case management, supervision of a legal assistant, and timekeeping.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have J.D. from an accredited law school. Admission to a state bar and in good standing required. Must be fluent in Spanish. Experience in immigration and family law preferred. Must be able to travel between San Antonio and Pearsall. Occasional travel to Houston for asylum interviews may also be required.
