ProfileWashington, D.C. office of our client seeks energy regulatory associate attorney with 3-6 years of transactional experience, with an emphasis on addressing and resolving energy regulatory and related legal issues Clerkship with FERC, a state appellate court. The candidate will work on sophisticated legal matters, focusing on energy regulatory and transactional matters. Will gain exceptional first-hand experience through their work with senior lawyers and clients in a variety of complex issues. Examples of specific federal regulatory-related work include: Contested rate proceedings, enforcement investigations, regulatory compliance and judicial review of FERC decisions. Integrated resource planning, and site permit and certificate of need applications. Examples of specific transactional-related work include: Energy project contracts, due diligence, regulatory approvals, market-based rate applications and project finance. Federal appellate court, or federal district court is a plus. Membership in the DC Bar is strongly preferred.
