Debt Collection Attorney Duties: Manage account liquidations and the legal processes. Provide the highest quality legal representation, treat all customers with fairness and respect and have the ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume environment. Treats all customers with fairness and respect while creating fair payment solutions that fits their financial situation. Handles caseload and provides expert analysis and advice on legal and regulatory risks. Negotiates with opposing counsel to achieve final resolution of cases. Travels to various courts within the state as legal representation in various legal proceeds and to attend court hearings. Works with the Managing Attorney to report all activity and results. Responsibilities will include: negotiating resolution of pending litigation, conducting a motions practice, reviewing and drafting discovery requests or responses, court appearances, document. execution, calendar management, responding to client surveys on state law and other duties related to a high-volume practice.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: JD Degree from accredited law school with license to practice law in GA, licensed to practice law in other states is a plus. 3-5 yearsâ€™ experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation, attending court proceedings, mediations and/or depositions. Previous collections experience and familiarity with consumer protection laws and regulations is preferred. Skilled in the ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Exemplary oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of Procedural Rules and Civil litigation timelines is mandatory. Outstanding Time Management skills.
