Legal Assistant
The candidate's duties include: Organizing, distributing, or tracking documents according to departmental procedures; Ensure filing, preparation, and scanning of documents and correspondence. Keep detailed records of all incoming documents and file accordingly. Assist with all administrative tasks. Maintain communication with clients and provide case updates promptly. Manage attorney schedule efficiently (attorney-client meetings, court appearances, etc.); Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents with state and federal court. Assist in the preparation for court proceedings (including, but not limited to, assisting with trial preparation and maintaining communication with clients and experts). Organize and maintain electronic case files within the company software/case management system. Perform a variety of office related activities to support Department functions including back-up of co-workers and front desk responsibilities. Must have 1 year of legal experience, specifically in Personal Injury. Must have experience using Microsoft Excel, edit, sort/filter and save spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets). Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred.
