Senior Counsel The candidate, working under the direction of the General Counsel or Deputy General Counsel, will provide legal counsel on a wide array of employment law, administrative law, and legislative matters. Responsibilities will include drafting and supervision of responses to employee complaints filed with City, State and federal agencies, and counseling on Conflicts of Interest matters, Freedom of Information Law requests, data sharing and privacy, legislation, rule-making, risk management and internal processes to maximize recovery for damage to Departmental infrastructure.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have admission to the New York State Bar. Must have 48 months of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience subsequent to admission to any Bar, 18 months of which must have been in the supervision of other attorneys, in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or performing highly complex and significant legal work. Should remain member of the New York State Bar in good standing for the duration of this employment. Should preferably have 10+ years of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience.
