Corporate Paralegal Duties: Prepare and file documents effecting incorporation and qualifications Maintain database used by Legal, Tax, Finance, Accounting and Risk Management Departments. This database provides the viewer with the pertinent corporate information for WJH LLC and each of its subsidiaries and affiliates. Filing necessary documentation as required in each state to obtain necessary licensure required to do business in each state. Gathering, inputting and overseeing data gathered from multiple business divisions. Prepare corporate resolutions, amendments, dissolutions, formations and other required documentation for Regional Counsel. Provide Regional Counsel with administrative support, including planning, CLE monitoring, opening and sorting mail, travel schedules and expense reporting. Prepare agendas and coordinate preparation of materials for meetings. Maintain General Contracting and Real Estate Broker licensing database, including requirements for renewal and continuing education. Work with Lot Acquisition Department to review outside counsel work and legal invoicing. Prepare company responses to Better Business Bureau inquiries. Drafting purchase and sale agreements and other transactional documents. Maintain and input data into a commercial lease schedule database and track and calendar critical dates related to such leases.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Paralegal Certification. 5+ years’ in-house legal experience as a corporate paralegal in the U.S., including substantial experience at a senior level in a corporate legal department of a large U.S. based corporation. Experience handling confidential information and documents. Experience utilizing Legal Tracking/Serengeti invoicing software. Legal knowledge of business law, including entity formation and management. Strong professional verbal and written communication skills. Strong organization and superior attention to detail. Results oriented, accurate and multi-tasking ability. Works with a sense of urgency and displays a high level of initiative. Ability to solve problems. Understands the importance of discretion and diplomacy.
