Associate Paralegal The candidate will serve as paralegal in the legal affairs department for one of benefits administration teams. Will work collaboratively with legal and compliance professionals, company attorneys, and team members throughout the organization on legal, regulatory and compliance related tasks and projects. Draft basic legal documents. Conduct legal and investigative research and analysis including fact-finding and document collection. Participate in company legal and compliance projects including the maintenance of project and case files. Research and apply knowledge of legal, regulatory and procedural developments that relate to specialty, as well as clients business goals, plans and priorities. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients to facilitate effective teamwork, communication and client focus; interacts with external attorneys, legal professionals and regulators on behalf of the company. Investigate, draft correspondence and assist in the resolution of attorney inquiries, grievances and appeals, claims, and regulatory complaints and inquiries using company wide resources. Provide litigation support. Research and prepare a summary and analysis for pre-litigation matters.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Associate's degree or equivalent experience. 3-5 years experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department is desired. Ability to remain attentive to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment; excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and matters is preferred. Excellent research and writing skills is desired.
