Bankruptcy Supervisor The candidate will assist in managing the day to day operations of the department, coordinating the management of bankruptcy actions, to ensure timely and accurate processing and compliance with federal law for accounts affected by chapter 7, 11, or 13 bankruptcies. Will maintain and monitor productivity standards within department. Train, coach, and motivate staff, for employee development and delivery of quality performance. Assist in hiring staff additions. Act as primary point of contact for escalated issues from internal/external customers. Build and maintain relationships with key individuals within the organization, external vendors and clients. Communicate to management any trends/issues and recommend solutions as they pertain to the department. Assist in ensuring bankruptcy related documents are completed accurately and in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. Actively participate in the implementation of procedural revisions required by changes to investor/insurer/GSE guidelines and state or federal laws, within the required timeframes. Identify process gaps, develop controls and coordinate improvements to enhance efficiencies and minimize risks. Review and update department procedures quarterly. Attend court hearings both in and out of state, as needed. Other duties as assigned. College degree is preferred, or equivalent experience. Should have 5+ years of default servicing experience, with in depth knowledge of bankruptcy timeframes and processes. Real estate law experience is preferred. Paralegal or other legal experience is beneficial. Thorough knowledge of FHA/VA and GSE servicing guidelines and requirements is essential. Knowledge of Process Management workflow system and LPS servicing system is essential. Familiar with mortgages, notes and other basic loan documents is essential. Familiar with bankruptcy laws in a multi-state portfolio is essential. Strong analytical and computer skill is essential. Excellent written and oral communication skill is essential.
