ProfileAttorney The candidate will represent clients in all phases of litigation from initiation to expert discovery in matters involving professional malpractice and employment claims. Attend court appearances, hearings , depositions and case management conferences. Conduct complex legal research and discovery investigations. Draft discovery requests and responses, motions, case evaluation summaries, court orders, settlement agreements, affidavits, pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda. Review discovery responses, depositions and prepare summaries and litigation update reports. Negotiate with opposing counsel to settle claims. Communicate closely with clients during the course of litigation to provide legal analysis, status reports and advice.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have 3-5 years of litigation experience. Must be barred in NJ and admitted to practice in the Unites States District Court for the District of NJ. Experience handling professional malpractice litigation is required. Experience in handling coverage matters is preferred. Appellate practice experience is desired. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is needed. Proficient in Lexis software is must.

Maybe leadership should ease up on the workload, especially for newer associates. The firm would probably have less of a problem with burnout and attrition if they did.Pros : If you're a newer attorney you're going to get a lot of experience working here. Sometimes it seems like I have more cases than I can handle, but I know that I'm getting exposure to things that I otherwise wouldn't have.
