Duties:

  • Draft and prepare various estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and related documents, utilizing firm-approved software and templates.
  • Collaborate with clients to review and refine legal documents, ensuring they effectively meet estate planning goals.
  • Provide guidance and comprehensive feedback to clients on legal documents, ensuring their estate plans align with their wishes.
  • Prioritize client satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and finding effective resolutions.
  • Represent the firm within the community through involvement in relevant boards, committees, and events.
  • Supervise and verify the accuracy of legal documents drafted by staff members.
  • Ensure efficient operations by improving office processes, maintaining organization, and overseeing the movement of client files.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with clients to review and adjust estate planning documents as necessary.
  • Manage and mentor paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff to ensure smooth workflow and high standards.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Estate Planning or Elder Law.
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in New Jersey.
  • LLM in Estate Planning or a related field is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of estate planning-related tax codes.
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
