Legal Assistant Duties : The candidate will complete many routine administrative tasks, and assist lawyers with legal work including research, court filings and client communication. Reviews legal documents to ensure they are properly formatted and contain all necessary portions or related documents for court acceptance, files legal documents with proper courts. Generate complaint packages with the appropriate exhibits and service documentation. Establishes and maintains office files, logs, indices, legal references, control records and other information in connection with the work under the control of the assigned attorney and direct supervisor. Operates standard office equipment such as calculators, duplicating machines, facsimile machines, scanners, etc. Proofreads and corrects prepares materials for correct grammar, spelling punctuation, format, syntax and content. Performs related work as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements : The candidate should have High School / Equivalency Diploma. Must have knowledge of correct English usage. Must have ability to follow complex instructions. Should have ability to apply instructions and/or guidelines as appropriate in the performance of duties, ability to compose correspondence and reports. ability to determine work priorities. Must be skilled typing ability and knowledge of personal computers, hardware, software and related applications.
