Job Overview:

A leading law firm in North Carolina is seeking a Title Review Attorney to join their team. This role involves a detailed analysis of title searches and legal documents, with a focus on producing accurate title opinions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication skills, a service-minded approach, and the ability to work independently.

Duties:

• Examine title searches for accuracy and completeness
• Review recorded documents, including trusts, estates, corporate documents, and more
• Certify title opinions based on the thorough analysis of documentation
• Ensure compliance with state-specific title regulations
• Liaise with various stakeholders such as investors, lenders, homebuilders, and realtors
• Maintain high attention to detail in all title-related tasks
• Guide on complex title issues
• Manage and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina (South Carolina license preferred)
• Prior experience performing title searches
• Familiarity with title insurance processes
• Ability to interpret and apply complex legal documents

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active Bar membership in North Carolina
