Legal Assistant (Paralegal) The candidate will work closely with the Antitrust, Litigation and International Arbitration groups to provide support to lawyers during the entire process including the initial information gathering stage, discovery, briefing, trial/hearing, as well as careful archival of case material. Will assist in such tasks as correspondence and discovery, hearings and trials, administrative proceedings, briefs and settlements. Maintain case pleadings, correspondence, discovery, research, paper and electronic files. Assist with document reviews, prepare productions to other parties, compile document collection logs, production logs and privilege logs, create witness kits. Cite-check, bluebook and edit legal documents, prepare tables of contents, tables of authorities and assemble accompanying exhibits. Proofread letters, memos and legal documents. Draft routine correspondence and minor legal documents. Utilize advanced functions of business suite applications including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Powerpoint and Word. Utilize eDiscovery software including Concordance and Relativity. Conduct legal research using Bloomberg, Lexis, Westlaw Next, Pacer, etc. Coordinate work with outside document/litigation vendors, including adherence to strict deadlines. Prepare and release diaries; complete and submit weekly timesheets and Current Availability System report. Perform such other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time. Must have 1-3 years of experience in litigation, Bachelor’s degree, excellent communication skills, cite checking, strong technical skills, Excel, Powerpoint.
