A law firm in Morrisville, NC, is seeking a Mid-Level White Collar Defense and Investigations Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring and opportunities for increasing responsibility and client contact. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team, with strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality client service.

Duties:

• Assist in white collar defense and investigations, including handling regulatory proceedings and conducting internal investigations.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide support in complex legal matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support ongoing investigations and defense strategies.
• Collaborate with clients to gather information, provide legal advice, and manage case-related tasks.
• Prepare and participate in client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
• Manage multiple cases and projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion of legal tasks.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in white collar defense, investigations, or regulatory proceedings.
• Proven experience in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Strong academic credentials with a commitment to excellence.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach to legal work and client service.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (North Carolina Bar required; additional admissions are a plus).
