Job Overview:
A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level Associate Attorney specializing in antitrust to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising on competitive strategies, regulatory compliance, and antitrust litigation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide business counsel and represent clients in a variety of antitrust-related matters across domestic and international landscapes.

Duties:

  • Conduct antitrust audits and develop compliance programs tailored to client needs.
  • Provide comprehensive antitrust counseling for a diverse range of business operations.
  • Represent clients in antitrust litigation and manage government investigation matters.
  • Counsel clients on business competition and ensure adherence to antitrust standards.
  • Support clients in class action litigation, debarment proceedings, and state aid concerns.
  • Manage investigations and defense in grand jury and criminal prosecution cases.
  • Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and associated competition implications.
  • Engage in international cartel investigations, especially about EU regulations.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies on international trade and EU regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of legal experience with a focus on M&A, HSR, merger compliance, and transactional counseling.
  • Proven expertise in premerger processes and the ability to handle significant responsibilities independently.
  • Demonstrated experience in large law firms or relevant government agencies preferred.
  • Federal clerkship experience is a strong advantage.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must hold an active license to practice law.
