Legal Administrative Assistant The candidate will handle general clerical duties, including processing invoices, tracking expenses and case costs, generating expense reports, ordering supplies, etc. Will conduct research, including internet research. Schedule meetings and conference calls, and prepare relevant material. Handle travel arrangements. Prepare, type, and proofread legal and other documents. Maintain and organize electronic and hard copy filing systems. Answer telephones, route calls and take messages. Copy, mail and perform other clerical duties as assigned. Provide administrative support for manager review of job applications. Work jointly with interns and communicate routine and/or procedural guidance on projects assigned by managers. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity within the office using a personal approach that values all individuals and respects differences in regards to race, ethnicity, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ability and socio-economic circumstance. Bachelor’s degree and/or 1-2 years’ work experience preferred. Strong organizational, time management and clerical/administrative skills are needed. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; excellent telephone manner is needed. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and have experience with Internet research. Excellent writing and proofreading skill is needed. An interest in civil liberties and reproductive rights is helpful.
