Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Honolulu, Hawaii. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a strong background in pre-trial, trial, and appellate proceedings. This position involves drafting legal documents, providing strategic legal advice, and representing clients in a variety of legal settings. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced attorneys, handle complex legal issues, and maintain excellent client relationships.

Location:

  • Honolulu, Hawaii

Duties:

  • Represent clients throughout all phases of civil litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate proceedings
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice on complex matters
  • Prepare for and represent clients at court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
  • Collaborate with partners and other associates to address legal challenges
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends
  • Foster and maintain client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and support

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Hawaii State Bar
  • 2-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in civil cases
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
  • Commitment to providing outstanding client service and upholding the highest ethical standards
  • Expected billable hours: 1,650 (flexibility may be considered for the right candidate)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Hawaii State Bar

Skills:

  • Expertise in civil litigation and legal research
  • Proficient in drafting legal documents, including pleadings and motions
