Ip And Technology Transactions Attorney The candidate will join the Legal and Compliance department. Core responsibilities will consist of working closely with the firm’s investment, business development, and investor relations teams to develop and launch new investment products, negotiate the terms of those products with prospective clients and investors, and maintain and advise on the firm’s existing product lines. Responsibilities are also expected to include advising the firm’s Corporate Development group on potential new investment strategies, new lines of business, and other opportunities or initiatives pursued by the firm or its funds.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have 3-6 years of relevant work experience at a law firm and/or in-house. Familiarity with relevant portions of key investment management laws and regulations, such as the Investment Advisers Act and the Investment Company Act; experience with ERISA is a plus. Experience with private funds (whether open- or closed-end) is required; experience with managed accounts and other product types (e.g., mutual funds, collective investment trusts, and UCITS funds) is a plus. Excellent analytical, communication, and project management abilities are a must.
