ProfileTax Consultant Duties: Perform complex U.S. State, Federal and international tax compliance e.g. Earnings & Profits, Subpart F income, 5471s and 8858s, State Domestic combinations, FF 1120s, FF1065s, etc. Performs complex tax research and analysis. Provides strategic planning for tax compliance. Interprets tax policy, procedures and law to ensure compliance. Provides tax advice and planning for business decisions and implements change. Leads project teams, partnering with businesses to identify tax-saving opportunities, solve problems and improve after-tax business results. May respond and resolve complex tax issues with local and/or country authorities. May provide tax advice on acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and corporate restructuring.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with strong academic performance. Should have 8-15 years tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax environment. Must have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities; strong oral, written and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word. The following skill sets are preferred: Advanced Tax Degree e.g. Masters or Law Degree or L.L.M.(Tax). Background in U.S. Federal, State and International tax compliance. Certified Public Accountant or Juris Doctor degree. Experience in Big 4. Experience with OneSource tax reporting software. Understanding of Financial accounting and reporting standards (ASC 740).
