Legal Assistant The candidate will be conducting provider, business, receivership and liquidation searches for the Bankruptcy and Collections team, open, scan and distribute bankruptcy notices to designated individual and provider contacts, create matters in TyMetrix, distribute bankruptcy and collection matters to team for assignment. Will collaborate with Sourcing department in management of subscriptions and vendor contract negotiations and renewals, initiate renewal requests for Finance approval, submit payments for processing, periodic meetings with account managers to discuss user needs and training opportunities, coordinate training and webinars for legal users. Cover workload for administrative assistants while out of the office, manage and track paper files for Iron Mountain storage, order supplies and copy documents. Assist with ad hoc projects for legal department such as managing conflict request and running reports in TyMetrix. Draft and distribute user surveys to determine necessity for a renewal. Initiate renewal requests for Finance approval. Work with Sourcing (if applicable) for contract negotiations and renewal. Submit payments for processing (iPro, AP). Manage user lists for all subscriptions. Submit requests to account managers for user additions/deletions to subscriptions. Periodic meetings with account managers to discuss user needs and training opportunities. Coordinate user training and webinars. Manage BKINTAKE electronic mailbox. Send bankruptcy notices to designated individual and provider contacts. Manage BKINTAKE paper mail. Open/scan/distribute bankruptcy notices to designated individual and provider contacts. Utilize iTrack workflow tool to route bankruptcy correspondence and notices to designated individual and provider contacts. Conduct Provider Searches. Conduct Business Searches. Conduct bankruptcy searches and identify individual and provider contract risks. Conduct Assignment for Benefit of Creditors searches. Conduct Liquidation/Provisional Liquidation searches. Conduct Collections Searches. Conduct Receivership Searches. Distribute matters to team for assignment. Create folders/files for team. Create matters in TyMetrix for team. Manage and track paper files, send/recall boxes to Iron Mountain storage facility. Cover workload for administrative assistant while out of office. Copy documents. Order supplies. Change ink/toner (when applicable). Open tickets for printers (when applicable). Manage conflict requests via TyMetrix. Run TyMetrix reports for Operations projects Must have Bachelorâ€™s degree or equivalent training; 2+ years related experience; or any combination of education and experience. Paralegal certificate/experience is preferred. Advanced Computer Skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook) is essential.
