Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will obtain medical bills and records. Draft medical chronologies. Assist in drafting letters, pleadings, discovery responses in various legal practice areas. Frequent, regular client contact. Organize and maintain legal documents and files. Shared telephone answering duties.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have 3-5 years of legal administrative assistant/paralegal experience to assist in various practice areas, including family law, estates, and civil litigation, with a focus on plaintiff personal injury and Workers' Compensation law. Must be experienced in internet research. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook; minimum 60 wpm typing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Familiarity with medical billing, medical terminology, and ordering medical records from providers.
