Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Preparing and assembling case files; Preparing legal forms; Collect information and documentation from clients; Prepare/draft filings to relevant federal and state agencies; Prepare draft correspondence and memoranda; Enter case information into computerized databases and case management systems; Track the status of filings and inform the client of any follow up that may be necessary; Scanning and saving documents; Photocopying; Updating computer databases; Drafting document requests and other communications; Maintain confidentiality of client information; Filing and organization; and Other duties as assigned. Assisting paralegals and attorneys in the preparation and filing of petitions and applications with USCIS, DOL, and DOS. Daily responsibilities will include general administrative duties such as printing documents, photocopying, data entry, preparing legal forms, filing, shipping, and other tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Must be able to work effectively under strict time deadlines while handling significant case volumes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding organizational and time management skills, and the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential. A bachelorâ€™s degree is required. English language fluency with excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written), and problem-solving skills; The ability to work effectively under strict time deadlines while handling significant case volumes; Outstanding organizational and time management skills; Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; Prior office experience; and Experience at a law firm or professional services firm is preferred.
