Duties

  • Represent clients in legal proceedings and negotiate on their behalf.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis on various employment law issues.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
  • Offer legal advice to clients on a broad range of employment-related matters.
  • Advocate for clients in court proceedings and other legal forums.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and changes in employment laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in areas such as PAGA, sexual harassment, discrimination (race, national origin, age, sex, disability), family/medical leave issues, wage and hour disputes, and severance negotiations.
  • Strong legal drafting and research skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex legal concepts effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Lexis Nexis and other legal research tools.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar as an attorney.

Certifications

  • Admission to the California State Bar.
