ProfileCONTRACT ATTORNEY Candidate will work on a contractual basis on its bail reform litigation effort. Will conduct legal research, factual investigation, and litigation development and support, under the supervision of Legal Director.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Maryland Bar admission or admission to another state bar preferred. Ability to speak, comprehend and write Spanish preferred. Experience in social justice advocacy, public interest law, and race equity analysis preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with others both in and outside of the PJC, including clients, other advocacy organizations, coalition members, governmental officials, and attorneys. Excellent legal analytic and strategic skills. Excellent legal writing and research skills. Strong communication and collaborative skills. Strong work ethic. Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a timely manner.
Term: through April 2018, with the possibility of available work beyond that dependent upon additional funding.
